Easy and Quick Crochet Flower To Make Right Now

3 crochet flower patterns

I love seeing flowers outside in the spring and summer. They attract beautiful butterflies, buzzing bumble bees, wee honey bees, and if I’m lucky a humming bird or two! However their time ends and scent fades over the course of the season. While I know they’ll be back the next year I wistfully imagine flowers that never fade…Which is why I’ve put together some easy crochet flowers that you can make any time of the year and will never fade away!

What can you make with them?

Motifs and embellishments are the first thing to think of with a crochet flower. The puff flowers specifically can be connected to be turned into a shawl, scarf, blanket, basket, bag, or whatever else you can dream up! Individually, they can be used as decor, ornaments for a spring tree, put into baskets and jars, or made as cat toys. I think these are especially useful for cottagecore or faecore decoration.

Crochet Therapy

All of these flowers are easy to make and don’t require that much yarn. That makes them wonderful to use for quick calming projects for when stress or anxiety hits. Learn more about crochet therapy in this post: Crochet Therapy For Anxiety

The Crochet Puff Stitch Flower

This crocheted flower definitely has the typical flower shape going on. Based off of the puff stitch, they can be sewn together to make a squishy, flowery fabric for just about anything you want! They don’t take very long and I really like using variegated yarn for them.

The Crochet Bullion Flower

This flower is made using the cone variation of the crochet bullion stitch. Bullion flowers are great to use as motifs and for embellishments on hats, blankets, scarves or amigurumi. They almost look like the Crochet The Yoyo Puff just on their own. They do take a few tries to get right, or at least I did. I think they would be good for a center to a Irish lace project.

Simple Crochet Flower

Last, but certainly not least, I have a simple 5 petal flower. These are very pretty with a different colored center, but you can do it all in one color as well. These would be fantastic to make as a bouquet. You can glue them on to a styrofoam circle or wreath to make beautiful flower wreaths or topiaries.

A few tips

When I know I’m going to make bunch of crochet flowers I’ll make a bunch of centers all at once. Then you can finish them up with a different yarn colors for the petals. I’ve used a bunch of different color combinations at this point especially on the puff flowers.

You can make two of the simple flowers and sew them together with a bit of stuffing inside if you want to turn it into a more 3d shape.

I’m sure there’s much more that you can do with these flowers than I can show in this post so be sure to try some different things and experiment with these lovely little flowers. Let me know what you think of these and what you would do with them in the comments!
