I love going out into the woods for walks. And there’s something about having a small pouch that makes me feel like I might find something magical while I’m out. As a result, I had the idea for a Keychain Pouch Crochet Pattern.
Once I knew what I wanted to make, I whipped up this little keychain pouch in no time. I think it is absolutely adorable. So, let’s get started!
Supplies
- Cotton yarn (small 4 weight)
- Hook size G+/4.5
- Small button
- Key ring and chain
- Snips
- Needle
Abbreviations
- sc = single crochet
- st = stitch
- slst = slip stitch
- ch = chain
- Mc = Magic Circle
Key Chain Pouch Crochet Pattern
I used a locking Magic Circle in this pattern. If you need a tutorial you can go here: How To: Make A Magic Circle Crochet Tutorial (Or An Alternative)
Round 1. 6 scs in a locking mc, slst to join. <6>
Round 2. Ch 1, 2 scs in each, slst to join. <12>
Round 3. Ch 1, 1 sc, 2 scs in the next, repeat from –, slst to join. <18>
Round 4-6. Ch 1, 1 sc in each, slst to join. <18>
Round 7. Ch 1, *1 sc, invisible dec in the next,* repeat from *-*, slst to join. <12>
Round 8. Ch 1, 1 sc in the first st, 1 sc in each of the next 5 sts. <6>
Round 9.- 11. Ch 1, 1 sc in each of the next 6 sts. <6>
Round 12. Ch 1, 1 slst in each of the next 3 sts, ch 4, 1 slst in each of the last 3 sts. <6 scs, 4 chs>
weaving in the ends
Snip your end and tie it off, weave the ends in to secure them.
Add a button to the front of the pouch where the latch will be able to slip over it.
That’s it! Just add your key chain somewhere on the pouch. I put mine in the middle towards the back of the pouch. But do what you find more convenient.
