Easy Crochet Candy Corn Pattern
I used a locking mc for this pattern, you can find the tutorial for that here: How To: Make A Magic Circle Crochet Tutorial (Or An Alternative).

Round 1. Using white yarn. In a locking Mc, make 5 scs, slst to join. <5>
Round 2. Ch 1, put a sc in the same st, put 1 sc in each st, snip your white yarn leaving a 2 inch tail, slst with the yellow yarn to join. <5>

Tip: tie a knot using the tails of the white and yellow yarn as shown to secure them.

Round 3. Using the yellow yarn, ch 1, put a sc in the same st, make another sc in the same st, put 2 scs in each of the remaining sts, slst to join. <10>
Round 3. Ch 1, put a sc in the same st, put 1 sc in each st, snip your yellow yarn leaving a 2 inch tail, slst with the orange yarn to join. <10>

Round 4. Using the orange yarn, ch 1, put a sc in the same st, make 2 scs in the next st, * make 1 sc in the next st, put 2 scs in the st after,* repeat from *-* until you reach the first st, slst to join. <15>
Round 5. Ch 1, put a sc in the same st, put 1 sc in each st, slst to join. <15>
If you want to add safety eyes do it now. I suggest putting them between rounds 3 and 4 and having about 3 visible stitches between them.
Stuff all the tails into the base and add a bit more stuffing to fluff it up.

Round 6. Ch 1, put a sc in the first st, make an inv dec in the next st, *put a sc in the next st, make an inv dec in the sts after,* repeat from *-* until you reach the first st, slst to join <10>
Top it up with stuffing before you move on.
Round 7. Ch 1, make an inv dec in the first sts, make an inv dec in each st, until you reach the first st, slst to join <5>

Weaving in the ends!

Snip your yarn, leaving about a 4 inch tail and tie off your tail. use a yarn needle to go through the front loop of the remaining 5 sts, and cinch it tight.
Go through the center hole you just cinched and bring the pointed bottom in so it looks like a candy corn.
Secure the end by pushing the yarn needle through different spots in the candy corn and going back through the same hole to come out somewhere else.

When you’re happy with how secure your tail is, go out through the orange bottom someplace and then snip the extra yarn.
Your candy corn is finished!
These little ones are so quick and easy that you can make a bunch before Halloween! Whether they have eyes or you use them as table scatter I think anyone that sees them will think they are amazingly cute. I’m off to make myself an army of them now…
